Description
This Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières comes from Les Genevrières-Dessus with some vines up to 80 or 90 years old. It is more introspective on the nose compared to Les Charmes; however, it shares the same mineralité with subtle flint-like scents emerging with time and complemented by pressed white flowers. The palate is well balanced with fine tension, focused and tensile with just a touch of reduction toward the finish. This constitutes a stylish expression of the vineyard.

The domaine achieved widespread recognition in the 60s under the direction of the charismatic Bernard Michelot and this spirit and tradition flourished and grew in the hands of the current generation, Jean-François and Nicolas Mestre, who now run the family Domaine. The Domaine is currently going through an organic conversion.
