Maldonado Wine

The vineyard soils in Maldonado are mostly granite and quartz, both soil types that are often considered beneficial for many vines. Whilst Tannat is king in Uruguay there are still plenty of other grape varieties planted here, including Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Albarino.
