Haras de Pirque was recently acquired by the Antinori family, who is now leading in Maipo Valley a very ambitious and exciting new project. Minty, herbal notes, so typical of Maipo stand out on the nose whilst the palate is a riot of fresh red fruits and ripe cherries. Tannins are soft and supple giving the perfect counterpart to the juicy, fresh finish.

The magnificent Haras de Pirque estate occupies a privileged position at the foot of the Andes, in Chile’s Maipo Valley region. The lovingly tended vineyards are on largely north-facing slopes, from the middle of which rises a unique horseshoe-shaped gravityflow winery, inspired by the estate’s other claim to fame: as an internationally renowned thoroughbred breeding farm.
