Hautes Cotes de Beaune Rouge, Domaine Cornu-Camus
Description
Domaine Cornu-Camus is located in the town of Echevronne, charming village of Hautes Côtes de Beaune. The vineyards come from a family estate. After a year of oenology at the Faculty of Dijon, Pierre CORNU settled on the vineyard of his parents. In 1981, he married Bernadette Camus, a winemaker and also from a winemaking family in Savigny-Lès-Beaune. Today, the estate covers 12 hectares of vineyards.
Throughout the year, the work of the vineyard is done with great care to obtain the best wine. The treatments are practiced in accordance with 'lutte raisonnee' (integrated pest management) in order to respect the environment. The harvest is done manually.
Made from one of their small plots this fresh, light Pinot Noir has cherry and strawberry fruit and a savoury finish.
